RITE OF PASSAGE

Charting the History & Romance of Trade in Asia

Westlink Shipping & Logistics, an extremely successful Perth-owned family business with strong ties to WA’s mining and resources industry were planning on entering the highly competitive Asian market and needed something that would help to give them credibility and help to establish a positive presence.

We pitched the idea of a book tracing the long history and romance of the Asian shipping trade and its strong ties with Western Australia.

Following extensive research and investigation over a six-month period and, in 2012, thanks to the masterly talents of Book Mentors’ graphic designer, Wayne Curtis, ‘Rite of Passage’, a strikingly handsome Westlink-branded coffee table piece was first published.

This assignment was one of the most interesting, enjoyable and rewarding publishing projects that I have undertaken.
