Gillian Statham’s story is both inspirational and heart-wrenching. Helping Gill tell her incredible story was a memorable and enjoyable experience.

But it is also uplifting and inspiring and, in the telling, left me with nothing but admiration and the utmost respect for a young girl who dared to dream wild. Over the course of researching and writing this book, an enduring friendship evolved, as Gill opened up and shared her innermost fears and hopes, safe in the knowledge that her story would be told with compassion and honesty. This is a book that I am extremely proud to have been able to play a role in bringing to fruition.
